Green Citizen is our one stop shop. The service is the main reason we stay with Green Citizen even though it should be the recycling aspect, there are a lot of companies that can provide the same service but the flexibility, friendliness, and the ability to accommodate special requests we have are always met.

They were truly wonderful. They dealt with confusion by our bldg. regarding where they could park the truck, they dealt with our crazy freight elevator maze, they were professional, courteous, and exceptionally efficient. You and your team are incredible.

Everything went very smoothly. We got the heads up call as requested and the 2 gentlemen that came out didn’t require any additional assistance from us which is a huge deal as we are constantly busy here. Very professional and we’ll be calling you again when we have some more recycling that needs to be done.

We have been working with Green Citizen for almost 4 years now. We hold between 10-14 events per year that Green Citizen is helping us recycle out e-waste. The logistics crews are very prompt and communicate with us when there are any problems. Every individual we’ve dealt with has always been very professional and friendly. What we enjoy most is the staff is very accommodating and the ability to consolidate 3 vendors into one as Green Citizen can recycling e-waste, Styrofoam, and toners.

We chose Green Citizen for their sustainable goals and the transparency into their service. The University also requires no e-waste be sent overseas and must stay within the United States. UCSF had a need for recycling all the e-waste, toners, and Styrofoam that we produce. We had 3 different vendors doing that same process and Green Citizen was able to take care of all 3 at a reasonable costs.

Our experience is that Green Citizen provides great service before, during, and after the event. The crews are aware of all of our locations and very professional. We also have detailed documentation from all the pickups as we need to report our e-waste numbers to our managers. Every special request that we need, whether its planned or if something comes up during the event, Green Citizen does their best to accommodate.

There’s a list of items they accept and recycle at no charge and a list of items they accept but charge. I don’t mind paying and doing my part to be a green citizen. Thank you for making it so easy.

I’ve been to GreenCitizen a few times now to drop off old electronics and cables. They’ve been wonderful every time. You simply pull up in your car, someone will come out to help process your drop off. Every time has been less than 10 minutes and very pleasant customer service. Safe, quick, efficient, no hassle. Wonderful.

Green Citizen makes electronics drop-off easy and friendly. We’ve been taking our stuff there for years. Best of all, I have confidence that they handle everything appropriately and responsibly. I’m happy to pay to dispose of things like old video tapes with them because I know how they will treat my discards – with as little environmental impact as possible.

Great recycling service. Their fees are very fair, and their service is stellar. I’ve gone multiple times over the last 8 years and have always had great, kind, helpful service. I really appreciate this company that does so much good with recyclables that would normally be added to landfill.

Been here multiple times for home and small business. So easy and simple to fill out the form and drop-off isn’t DIY, they come out to your car and take care of everything! Always recommended and candidly, better than my local Scavenger.

Awesome experience!!! Had an old CRT-TV that I needed to get rid of. Pulled up and they came to the car and pulled it out. Friendly and helpful! Will definitely bring all ewaste to Green Citizen in the future.

The team at GreenCitizen is absolutely stellar. Today, I went to Green Citizen for the first time to recycle my monitor, hard drives, and cell phones. They recycled all my items (some for free) for a very small fee. The team member who assisted me today was very friendly and took the time to explain the different services they offer. I’ll be coming back for sure!

I love that there is a place to recycle electronic items responsibly. No overseas shipments, all disassembled here and taken care of in an environmentally sound way. The small price they charge is totally worth the environmental impact. It’s not realistic to think there is no cost for safe disposal. Very helpful staff, easy to drive in, safe and fast. I appreciate the data distruction option, too.

Every time I drop of recyclables, the staff at the Green Citizen are helpful, kind, and efficient. So easy. Really positive experiences every time I’ve gone over the last 8 years. I really appreciate the good work this Burlingame recycler does.

They were awesome. I was helping clean my mother in laws garage out. There was one tv
that was literally falling apart. No problem here. We dropped off a couple tvs, a monitor, coffee
machine, an old speaker, all for around 11 dollars. We rounded up to $15 to help them continue
their excellent recycling service. They were friendly helpful and have a drive through.
We are customers now! Good location as well.

I highly recommend recycling your ewaste with GreenCitizens. I’ll keep it a buck fifty—I was a little lost finding
the location but there are many signs around the area to help locate the drop-off point. I was not sure if I arrived
at the appropriate spot, but I received a warm “Hiiiiii” at the door. I usually don’t write reviews but I was blown
away by their great service.

Due to increased COVID cases in the area, they responsibly closed for 3 weeks and did not accept any drop offs.
I called in every week and it felt like every week they pushed back their reopening. I was little annoyed but I
understood the situation. I can honestly say it was well-worth the wait. The gentlemen helped me unload
my ewaste from my car onto the cart. It’s the little gestures like that—that will make me consider returning
when I have more ewaste to recycle.

GreenCitizen has several locations and drops off are easy and stress free. Just fill out the form on line ahead of
time to speed up the drop off. Staff are friendly and courteous.

It’s great to have such a well-run organization in our community to help us with all of our old electronics, especially laptops which have sensitive information.

The best place in the SF Bay Area to recycle electronics. I travel 15 miles to ensure my hardware is safely and securely recycled. I highly recommend them.

I would love to find an update about this story. What does his childhood lake look like today. Has there been any progress made on the Lake in Peru? I have shown my students this video for the last 4 years when we begin our unit on Engineering. They love it!!!

Oceans are important part of our ecosystem.. Clean water and clean oceans start at the community that serve the product life cycle so important for consumers to have the right knowledge including the impact the packaging industry has on sustainable packages.

I really appreciate your green directory where I can find sustainable services from businesses and organizations near my home. It was good to find out where I can recycle my mattress from your green directory.

I did not realize that there are so many different kinds of green jobs available. 

It is so convenient to be able to browse all available jobs in the sustainable field in one place.

Recently shipped 60 lbs of VHS tapes, cassettes and other items that cannot be recycled anywhere in Illinois or surrounding areas. It cost more to ship than to recycle but I trust the process. Had to call a few times and they’re always helpful and reply promptly to emails.

Great experience with mail-in recycling.  Quick response on hard drive destruction too.  They emailed the certificate right away.  Great way to dispose of electronics.
